A native of Clarksville, Tennessee, Jackie’s life fabric comes from a community-focused family. The youngest daughter of Pastor Jerry and Lady Naomi Jerkins, Jackie has never been a stranger to lending her support and resources to those in need.
Her involvement as a Board Member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters and other numerous organization such as the East DeKalb Boys & Girls Club (Lithonia, Georgia), The Salvation Army, Junior Achievement, United Way and Atlanta’s Shades of Pink have yeilded Jackie a wealth of experience to meet and connect with people from various walks of life.
Currently, Jackie continues her 16-year employment relationship with AT&T Services, Inc. as a team member in the corporation’s Technology Division providing executive support to Jim Wood, Vice President of the Global Infrastructure Operations Organization.
Additionally, Jackie is the Event and Lead Coordinator for several corporate programs and projects, inclusive of AT&T’s Annual Corporate Martin Luther King Celebration that has featured legendary personalities such as Ambassador Andy Young, Dr. Christine King-Farris, Mrs. Xernona Clayton, Dr. Joseph & Dr. Evelyn Lowery, Rev. Dr. C.T. Vivian, Rev. Dr. Bernice A. King, the original Tuskegee Airmen and Civil Rights Historian and Author, Taylor Branch.
Through Jackie’s vision, AT&T established an innovative development training program for corporate administrative and support personnel. This medium provides managers and organizations an opportunity to strengthen dynamics and enhance the corporate brand through celebrative recognition.
With an extensive background in music, Jackie was an intregal part of Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) “Bobby Jones Gospel Show” for nine years. She has served several local Atlanta ministries as music leader. Presently, Jackie serves Antioch Lithonia Baptist Church where she is the Minister of Music and leader for Antioch’s Worship & Performing Arts Ministry.
Jackie’s is persuaded that all things are possible to the one who believes and hopes in God. She shares this message of energy and hope with everyone she comes in contact with. ###
